Today, Thursday 21st March, as we celebrated World Down Syndrome Day, the Minister of Education Mr Paul Givan and the Minister of Finances Dr Caoimhe Archibald came to Arvalee to deliver the decision of the Executive to fund the Strule development.
The First Minister and the Deputy First Minister had taken the time to meet with the School leaders in the morning to discuss the way forward and deliver the decision of the Executive. They stated their support and their belief that they are committed to the equity, equality and inclusive ethos that Strule has the potential to deliver, uphold and drive forward for the children of the West. This investment in the West is great news for Omagh and the surrounding towns and town lands.
Our school was phase 1 and the moneys announced today confirms a road map that will lead to the construction of our 5 partners, and brings our pupils closer to opportunities to learn together with peers in other schools.
The school is so proud of our pupils who spoke out with pupils from other schools to support the drive to get this across the line.
