The school can confirm that on Monday 8th January 2024, the Department of Education, Employers and Sectoral Bodies gave formal notification from the five teaching unions (INTO, NAHT, NASUWT, NEU and UTU) of their intention to call on their members to participate in a full day strike action on Thursday 18th January 2024.
As you will be aware from media coverage of this matter, disruption is expected to be widespread, with other public sector trade unions also indicating that they too intend to take action.

- We regret that we must inform you that the school will be closed on Thursday 18th January due to this action.
